Effective Tuesday, June 11

  • North Mount Pleasant and Wildflower Arts Centres are open. Programming will be adjusted to use as little water as possible.
  • All City-operated aquatic & fitness facilities and leisure centres are open, including weight rooms. Non-water-based registered and drop-in programs resume. CLOSED: Pools, water parks and showers.
  • The Calgary Soccer Centre is open. CLOSED: showers.
  • Athletic parks are open except Shouldice Athletic Park. CLOSED: showers.
  • CLOSED: All arenas with ice (except those with dry pads/non-ice), including the showers.
  • Participants of any cancelled programs, bookings, classes and lessons will be notified and automatically refunded.
  • Recreation passes will be extended based on service impacts.
  • Normal hours of operations resume Tuesday, June 11.

Please note, the Municipal Emergency Plan is still activated due to the recent water main break, resulting in Level 4 outdoor watering restrictions and voluntary indoor water restrictions.

Additional summer swimming lessons available on June 6

Registration for spring & summer programs, classes, lessons and day camps is now open.

We are adding more swimming lesson times and dates at Southland Leisure Centre, Village Square Leisure Centre and Glenmore Aquatic Centre.

  • June 6 - Registration begins

Registration will open:

  • 6 a.m. - Online (virtual waiting room opens at 5:30 a.m.)
  • 8:30 a.m. - By calling the Customer Service Centre at 403-268-3800 (option 1).
  • During business hours - At any City-operated Aquatic & Recreation or Arts facility.

Park n' Play & Stay n' Play

Park n' Play and Stay n' Play are free outdoor programs for children ages 3-12 years and are available in various community locations across Calgary. These safe, supervised programs help children make new friends in a play-based learning environment. Games and activities are designed to encourage participants on their path to healthy and active lifestyles.

  • Park n' Play is a drop off program for children ages 6-12
  • Stay n' Play is a program for children ages 3-5 + an Adult
