To login to your account

Login

Step 1

Click the "Logon" tab at the top right of the Live and Play site.

Enter your Email Address and Password and click the "Log On" button.

If you do not have an account, or have forgotten your password, utilize the links provided on the page to create an account or retrieve your password.

To retrieve your forgotten password

Select the link option for having forgotten your password.

Enter your email address attached to your account and click the "Send" button. You will receive an email shortly that will provide you a link to reset your password.


Note: Passwords must include one upper case, one lower case, one number and one character. To protect customer accounts, the reset password email link is only valid for 30 minutes.
To change your existing password

Step 1

Log in to your account using the "Logon" tab at the top right of the Live and Play site.

Select your account name in the top right of the page to display your account options.

Select "Change Password" from the drop-down menu.

Step 4

Enter your current password and the new password into this page. Once you have confirmed your new password click the "Change Password" button.


Note: Passwords must include one upper case, one lower case, one number and one character.


To edit or update your account information

Step 1

When logged in, select your account in the top right to display your account options.

Select "Edit Details" from the drop-down menu. A page where you can modify your account settings will open.

Once you have completed adding to or modifying your account information select the "Update" button at the bottom of the page.


Ensuring your account is up-to-date will allow you to:

  • Review account details online
  • Perform password resets
  • View refunds/balances/payments
  • Receive “green” emailed enrollment receipts
  • Self-enroll in future programs
  • Update/edit your account info (address, add family members)
  • Receive important notifications
  • View future course and booking dates
To add family members

Step 1

When logged in, select your account name in the top right to display your account options.

Select "Families/Groups" from the drop-down menu.

Additional members can be added to your family or group by clicking the "Add" button.

Enter in the new person’s information and role and select the "Add" button.


Note: If you do not currently have a families/group option and would like to add one to your account, please call 403-268-3800 option 1.
To merge multiple accounts under one email address

To merge accounts, please contact us at liveandplay@calgary.ca.

Note:
  • You may have more than one account linked to your email address.
  • When resetting your password, the site will ask which account you want to reset.
  • Each account will have a unique identifier and the name of the account.
  • Each account will need a unique password.
  • Having Multiple Accounts attached to your email is separate from a family or group member being added on your account.


To search registered programs

There are two ways to search for registered programs. You can search by program activity or by facility location.

To search by program activity select the appropriate activity category from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Search by Location

To search by facility location select "Search by Facilty Location" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. Then choose a location or use the interactive map to find a location near you.

To register for a program

Step 1

Once you have found an available course at a date and time you like, select the "Details" button to the right of the course.

A Course details page will open showing more information pertaining to that course. If you wish to register for this course select the "Book" button to indicate you will be attending this course. This will add the course to your Basket.

From here you can "Continue Shopping" or "Checkout" by clicking the corresponding buttons at the bottom of the Basket page.

Once you are ready to pay for your course(s) select the "Checkout" button. A payment window will open for you to fill out your payment information.

To register a family or group member

Step 1

Click the "Details" button to the right of the program you would like to register for. This will open the Course details page with information pertaining to the course.

Select the "Book" button beside the person you wish to register in the course.

From here you can "Continue Shopping" or "Checkout" by clicking the corresponding buttons at the bottom of the Basket page.

Once you are ready to pay for your course(s) select the Checkout button. A payment window will open for you to fill out your payment information.


Note: Course restrictions will apply only to the family/group member you are registering for the program. You may see an alert stating the account owner does not meet the requirements of the program, but you may still book someone else in your group for this course.
Cancellations, withdrawals and tranfers

All registered program cancellations, withdrawals or transfers must be done over the phone by calling our Customer Service Centre at 403-268-3800 Option 1 or in person at one of our facilities. This option is not available online.

Cancellations
  • A $20 fee is charged per registrant/ per program, and the remaining balance refunded.
  • Once the program has started, a $20 fee is charged per registrant/ per program and a pro-rated balance refunded.
Transfer to another program
  • All transfers are subject to space availability.
  • To transfer to a different program, the registrant is charged a $10 fee, plus any program fee difference.
  • Once a program has started, transfers are subject to approval; transfer and program fee differences apply.
Medical exceptions
  • A doctor's note is required within 14 days of withdrawal/transfer or the request will be processed as per the withdrawal and transfer policies (allow 2-4 weeks for processing).
  • Requests received after the program start date are subject to a pro-rated refund from the date of notification.
Program cancellation policy
  • All programs are subject to cancellation due to insufficient registrations.
  • You will be notified of program cancellations and if the City of Calgary cancels it, you are entitled to a full refund or a transfer to another program.


To book a drop-in appointment

To book a drop-in appointment use the following steps listed below.
You can also book an appointment by calling 403-268-3800; Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Note: Only the Account Owner can book appointments on behalf of other members of the group.

Step 1

Click on "Drop-in Activities" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page and select an activity.

Select the participant member you are booking the appointment for and click the "Go" button.

Step 3

Select the day of the week and click "Book Now" beside the activity and time you would like to book. This will add the appointment to your basket.

Step 4

When you are ready to finalize your appointment, click the "Checkout" button.

To Check your Appointments

Appointments include any registered programs, drop in appointments and bookings.

A listing of any upcomming and previously booked appointments will be displayed on the page. Use the navigation bar to move through pages.

To cancel an appointment

To cancel a drop-in appointment, use the following steps listed below. You can also email liveandplay@calgary.ca or call 403-268-3800 (Option 1) before your scheduled appointment time.

Verify the appointment you wish to cancel and click "Add cancellation to basket".

Click the "Checkout" button to finalize the cancellation of your appointment.

Note: You can only cancel one appointment at a time.

To confirm your appointment was cancelled, check your "Appointments" to ensure it has been removed from your list of upcoming appointments.

To cancel a rental or booking

To cancel a drop-in appointment
