Sailing - Adult

Sailing is great strength and cardiovascular workout that helps improve concentration and awareness of your surroundings. Sailing lessons build confidence, patience, leadership and improves sailing skills in a team environment.

Students learn basic boat knowledge and water safety while developing the skills to become comfortable in a sailing environment.

Introduction to CANSail 1 - Women in Sailing - Adult


A Women's only introductory course to sailing. Students will learn in a hands-on environment that includes both water and land activities and teaches students the basics of sailing in winds of 8-15km/h and Cansail 1 content. No experience necessary to enroll in this course.

Sailing - Introduction to CANSail 1 – Adult


This introductory course teaches CANSail 1; basic sailing skills. The course will consist of a mixture of on-land and on-water learning. Students will learn to sail in dinghy sailboats, in a supportive and fun environment. No sailing experience required.

Sailing - CANSail 1 - Learn to Sail Theory - Adult


The beginner sailing course will provide the background knowledge of how sailboats work, rigging balance, direction and propulsion. This course will cover the on-land content from levels CANSail 1-2. No experience is required. This course is only classroom based, and has no on-water portion.

Sailing - CANSail 2 - Adult


This course is for adult sailing students looking to work on CANSail 2 skills. Sail in winds up to 35 km/hr and will continue to refine basic propulsion, direction and balance skills in a dinghy class sailboat. Prerequiste: CANSail 1.

Sailing - CANSail 3 & 4 - Adult


This course is for intermediate sailors looking to work on CANSail 3 or 4 skills. Sail in winds up to 40 km/hr and continue to refine your propulsion, direction and balance skills in dinghy class sailboats. Prerequiste: CANSail 2.
