Hockey - Introduction

Skaters will love the fun drills and scrimmages in this non-competitive program. They’ll further develop skills in a 3 on 3 game. Previous hockey experience isn’t required but participants must bring a helmet with full face cage, mouth guard, neck, shoulder, elbow and shin pads, hockey pants, gloves, jersey & socks, pelvic protection, stick, skates and a water bottle.

Hockey - Introduction for Adults

For adult skaters, this intro rec hockey class covers the rules, plus practice drills, skills, and scrimmages. Men and women welcome and no previous hockey experience is required. Participants must have basic skating skills and need a helmet with full face cage, mouth guard, neck, shoulder, elbow and shin pads, hockey pants, gloves, jersey & socks, pelvic protection, stick, skates and a water bottle.

Hockey - Recreational Level 1 (6 yrs & up)

An alternative to Minor Hockey, boys and girls 6 and under are welcome to play non-competitive Recreational Hockey! Previous experience isn’t required, however participants need basic skating skills (Level 3 Learn to Skate or equivalent) to play. Full equipment is required: helmet with full face cage, mouth guard, neck, shoulder, elbow and shin pads, hockey pants, gloves, jersey & socks, pelvic protection, stick, skates and water bottle.

Hockey - Recreational Level 2

A continuation of Level 1, boys and girls learn team tactics and strategies. Previous hockey experience or Level 1 plus basic skating skills or Level 3 Learn to Skate is a prerequisite. Full equipment is required: helmet with full face cage, mouth guard, neck, shoulder, elbow and shin pads, hockey pants, gloves, jersey & socks, pelvic protection, stick, skates and water bottle.

Hockey - Recreational Goalies (6 yrs & up)

Are you a goalie looking for some extra playing time? There is no direct goalie instruction, but this is a chance for extra ice time. Full goalie equipment is required and must be supplied by participants, including a helmet with full face cage, mouth guard, neck, shoulder, elbow and shin pads, hockey pants, jersey & socks, pelvic protection, skates to wear under the goalie equipment and a water bottle.

Learn to Figure Skate

This skating lesson level is for skaters with strong forward skating wanting to learn figure skating moves. Skaters will learn edges, stroking, jumps, spins, specialty moves and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), figure skates, gloves/mittens. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 4 or equivalent.

Learn to Skate - Level 1 (Adult)

Ready to learn how to skate? In this skating lesson you will learn the basic fundamental skating skills while building your confidence in a supportive environment. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens.

Learn to Skate - Parent & Child

Support your child on ice during their skating lesson, while they learn the basic skills for skating and building their confidence while participating in drills and activities. Children must be accompanied on ice by a parent/guardian. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens.

Learn to Skate Level 1 (6 yrs & under)

This skating lesson level is for skaters with little or no experience, children will learn the proper way of falling and standing up, marching on ice, the start of forward gliding and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens.

Learn to Skate Level 1 (6 yrs & up)

This skating lesson level is for skaters with little or no experience, children will learn the proper way of falling and standing up, marching on ice, the start of forward gliding and more while participating in drills and activities. Learn to Skate Level 2 (6 yrs & under)

This skating lesson level is for skaters with a basic experience, children will learn forward skating, snowplow stops, walking backwards, walking crossovers and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 1 or equivalent.

Learn to Skate Level 2 (6 yrs & up)

This skating lesson level is for skaters with a basic experience, children will learn forward skating, snowplow stops, walking backwards, walking crossovers and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 1 or equivalent.

Learn to Skate Level 3 (6 yrs & under)

This skating lesson level is for skaters with experience, children will learn forward skating into one foot glide, L-push, forward and backwards sculling, backwards skating and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 2 or equivalent.

Learn to Skate Level 3 (6 yrs & up)

This skating lesson level is for skaters with experience, children will learn forward skating into one foot glide, L-push, forward and backwards sculling, backwards skating and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 2 or equivalent.

Learn to Skate Level 4 (6 yrs & up)

This skating lesson level is for skaters with strong forward skating and moderate backwards skating skills, children will learn forward circle thrusts, forward slalom, backward skating with glides, turning forward to backwards, edges on a curve and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 3 or equivalent.

Learn to Skate Level 5

This skating lesson level is for skaters with strong forward and backwards skating skills, children will learn two foot stops, backwards 1/2 snowplow stops, backwards circle thrusts, forward crossovers and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 4 or equivalent.

Learn to Skate Level 6

This skating lesson level is for skaters who can perform forward crossovers in both directions and skate confidently with speed, children will learn forward crossovers in figure 8 pattern, one foot stop, mohawk turns and more while participating in drills and activities. Participants must provide: approved helmet (NO bicycle helmets), skates, gloves/mittens. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 5 or equivalent.
